- Secondary (Class 9–10) Paper-I: Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject with minimum 50% marks and B.Ed passed. Only for Bihar domicile.
- Senior Secondary (Class 11–12) Paper-II: Post Graduate degree in relevant subject with at least Second Division and B.Ed passed. (For Computer Science, B.Ed not required). Only for Bihar domicile.
- SC/ST/EBC/BC/Divyang candidates get 5% relaxation.

Bihar State Teacher Eligibility Test (Bihar STET 2025) is a state-level examination conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) to recruit eligible teachers for secondary and senior secondary schools in Bihar.
The online application form will be available from 08 September 2025 to 16 September 2025 on the official website secondary.biharboardonline.com.
All category candidates need to pay Rs. 100/- as the application fee. The payment can be made online through debit card, credit card, or net banking.
The minimum age is 21 years. The maximum age is 37 years for General Male, 40 years for General Female/BC/EBC, and 42 years for SC/ST candidates. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules.
The examination will be conducted between 04 October 2025 and 25 October 2025 in CBT mode. The result will be declared on 01 November 2025
The exam will be held in Computer Based Test (Cbihar stet exam date 2025BT) mode. There will be 150 multiple-choice questions carrying one mark each, making a total of 150 marks. The duration of the exam is 150 minutes and there is no negative marking.
